"This is an exciting new partnership that leverages the proven political track record of Andrew Russo, founder and president of Paramount Communications, and my own outreach and communications capabilities to fill a deep void in candidate recruitment in California," said David Kersten, president of the Kersten Institute for Governance and Public Policy.
"California's Future PAC will also seek to support a reform-minded agenda in the areas of public pension, government employee unions, public employee collective bargaining, school choice, and teacher tenure laws, among other policy areas," said Andrew Russo.
Russo says "California's Future PAC will be a "donor-driven political action committee which seeks to connect local donors to potential candidates in their area, through personal interviews, conference calls, and meetings. We will consult with our donors on a regular basis to identify promising candidates in their communities and serve as the vehicle for personal introductions to these candidates."
The Leadership PAC will utilize all forms of media and outreach in the process to identify candidates to run for city and county offices, school boards, and special districts, while helping them advance to higher positions, such as the Assembly, Senate, and U.S. Congress.
"We plan to utilize different forms of recruitment techniques, such as social media marketing and advertising, conservative talk radio, donor referrals, workshops, and building relationships with local, like-minded groups and organizations," Russo stated.
The PAC will identify priority races and campaigns--with the input and assistance of our donors--to contribute directly to candidates or assist them with in-kind assistance (i.e. voter data, polling information, issues research, etc.).
